Project funding will cease in 2011 so we hope that we can all rally in these final months to ensure a successful delivery!

AE2010 in Porto (Portugal)

Are you up to going to a high-ranking international conference? Do you want to meet with fellow students and well-known researchers “face-to-face”? Do you want to get your foot into the scientific community? Then you really HAVE TO come to the Aquaculture Europe conference 2010 (AE2010). This event will happen from 5th-8th October in Porto, Portugal and you will have the chance to meet us, the European Aquaculture Society Student Group, there.

We have organized topic related field trips, which includes a field trip to a semi-intensive farm (Seabass and Seabream) in Ilhavo (Aveiro). We are also planning to visit a shellfish farmer in the area. During the conference we have prepared an interesting workshop for you; there will be student life relevant presentations and demonstrations, including representation from aqua-tnet, the biggest thematic network in our area which has very interesting activities for students. A little get-together with drinks and food is being organized too.

Don’t worry about getting lost in Porto, you will know some people (us) by then! We hope to see you in Porto coming October. Feel free to visit our homepage for further information (www.eassg.org).
